EDA Vintage French Fixie
This is the bike that I bought as a rusted pile of nothingness at the flea market and transformed into a super cool (in my opinion) fixed gear bike.
It’s a vintage french frame…from the 60’s I believe. The only marks on the frame are the angles of the tubes on the lugs and the initials EDA on the bottom bracket. From my research, I believe it was built by two French brothers.
Regardless…it’s my daily ride around town and I love that I restored this bike to being useful again. One of the pictures is what it looked like when I bought it…
Very cool Lug work bro. Are you going to leave it base rust/metal?
This was a gem to find…it was a mess when I got it…bought her at Encants for 15€! I am going to have it lacquered so that it stays looking like this. My original intent was to have it painted some vintage green color, but when I saw how cool the metal was I decided to leave it. All the lugs were welded with a bronze metal…the craftsmanship needs to be shown off…
looks really cool!
i’ve been road-biking quite a bit lately, but would love to get something like this to work on too.
Yeah man…I’ve really enjoyed working on this bike…it’s really therapeutic for me. And then I get to use it and enjoy it when I’m done! what kind of bike are you riding around on? thx for the comment…
